Sunday Baby Films Inc. is a Toronto-based production company with international feature films and documentaries in development.  Founded by artist, filmmmaker, producer and performer Lisa Michelle Cornelius, Sunday Baby Films creates works in collaboration with other passionate, creative and intuitive storytellers and teams.

Lisa Michelle Cornelius

Lisa Michelle is an actor, producer and founder of Sunday Baby Films Inc. Sunday Baby Films is a Toronto-based production company with feature films, shorts and TV projects in development.  Her passion project “To The Core” is a documentary on the sweeping rise of C-Section births happening around the world. The documentary is currently in development, has received development funds from the Canada Council for the Arts, and will be Lisa Michelle’s directorial debut. 

 

Lisa Michelle’s previous producer credits include the short film Rainbow Baby (2021), which currently appears on CBC & CBC Gem as part of their “Canadian Reflections” program.  Lisa Michelle also served as Executive Producer of the feature film Pattern (2022) that screened at the Reelworld Film Festival, Montreal Black Film Festival and more, including being nominated for Best Feature at the British Urban Film Festival.  Pattern is currently streaming on Highball TV. 

 

In 2023, Lisa Michelle was selected to participate in the Reelworld Screen Institute’s Producer Program, diving into the business of TV development, pitching and producing.  She is also a selected participant in the Netflix-Banff Diversity of Voices Initiative (DOV), taking place at the Banff World Media Festival in June 2024.  Lisa Michelle is currently a member of Women in Film & TV Toronto (WIFT) and is a former ACTRA Toronto Vice-President & Co-Chair of their Diversity & Inclusion Committee.


As an actor, some of Lisa Michelle’s film & TV credits include Chucky (SyFy), Murdoch Mysteries (CBC), Star Trek:Short Treks (CTV Sci-Fi), A Sisterly Christmas (OWN Network) and Hudson & Rex (CTV).  In 2021, she was nominated for a Canadian Screen award for her performance in the comedic web series Band Ladies, and was nominated a second time in 2024 for her portrayal of Tressie in Director X’s Robyn Hood on Global TV.
